Research

The research of the junior professorship focuses on social, health and nutrition policy in the Global South. Over the past years, we have conducted field research in Turkey and several Latin American countries, including Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay.

Our main current research project investigates the politics of front-of-pack nutrition labelling (or FOPNL), which public health experts consider as an effective policy instrument in the fight against the global pandemic of obesity and diet-related chronic diseases.
